Charges Dropped Against Armed Citizen Who Shot Albuquerque Protester. I've got a feeling that when all the facts come out, the gentleman that he shot will be the one who is charged. Charges against Steven Ray Baca in the Monday shooting of Albuquerque protester Scott Williams have been dropped. Justice so far is being served.
Baca was subsequently arrested and charged with “aggravated battery with a deadly weapon,” but Reuters reports those charges were dropped on Wednesday.
Some images from the incident showed Williams allegedly holding “what was rumored to be a knife” when Baca was attacked. So it looks as if we have a case of self defense.
