Again President Trump comes through. May hires revised to 6.5 million. Again President Trump has come through for the American worker. The May jobs report was revised to 6.5 million jobs. Were waiting for the breakdown, but it does include both rehires and new hires.
Now if the June numbers don't change, that's 11 million more workers added to the economy. Manufacturing hired 426,000, the most since April of 2001. Construction hired 673,000, the highest on record, up from 246,000, the lowest on record. We have this from The Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Right now the focus has to remain on the economy. Sure those folks in riot torn cities ( Sacramento, Minneapolis, Atlanta, etc.) are trying to make the virus an issue, but it's not. The death numbers are way down. So let those folks hunker down and feel sorry for themselves. The majority of Americans want to work.Hires increased in a number of industries, with the greatest rise in accommodation and food services (+763,000), followed by health care and social assistance (+479,000), and construction (+427,000). The number of hires increased in all four regions.
