Joe Biden suggested Wednesday that the next Presidential debate should be canceled if the President still has coronavirus.
“I think if he still has COVID, we shouldn’t have a debate,” Biden said during a campaign stop in Maryland.
“I think we’re gonna have to follow very strict guidelines. Too many people have been infected and it’s a very serious problem,” Biden claimed.
“And so I’ll be guided by the guidelines of the Cleveland Clinic, and what the docs say is the right thing to do — if and when he shows up for debate,” Biden added.
Biden made the comments despite Trump’s physician reporting that the President has “no symptoms” after being discharged from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
“This morning the President’s team of physicians met with him in the Residence. He had a restful first night at home, and today he reports no symptoms,” White House physician Sean Conley said Tuesday.
Trump has said that he is ready for the next debate, and described his covid diagnosis as ‘a blessing from God’ Wednesday.

“This was a blessing in disguise – I caught it, I heard about this drug, I said let me take it and it was incredible,” Trump said, vowing to seek emergency use authorisations for the drugs.
In a video message, the President addressed the pandemic, telling Americans “You’re not going to pay for it. It wasn’t your fault that this happened. It was China’s fault. And China is going to pay a big price. This was China’s fault.”
