Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently touted American strength abroad under the Trump administration.
He laid out U.S. accomplishments in fighting terrorism during Tuesday’s virtual launch of the Ronald Reagan Institute’s Center for Freedom and Democracy. Pompeo said President Trump’s foreign policies are guided by strength and candor similar to former President Reagan.
“In the Middle East, American strength has replaced leading from behind,” he stated. “We destroyed the ISIS caliphate, killed Baghdadi and Soleimani, and restored deterrence.”
