U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar said coronavirus vaccinations could start going out to Americans as early as next week.
In an interview Friday, Azar acknowledged that while the FDA has yet to officially approve the Pfizer vaccine, they are likely to give the go ahead for emergency use authorization in the coming days.

Once doctors have the information on how to properly prescribe the vaccine, Azar said the treatment would be ready for distribution.
“We should be seeing the authorization of this vaccine, he stated. “We will work with Pfizer to get that shipped out and so, we could be seeing people getting vaccinate Monday, Tuesday of next week.”
Meanwhile, the FDA officials also put out a statement Friday noting they are working to quickly finalize approval for the Pfizer vaccine.
