After being diagnosed with cancer in the fall, 4-year-old patient Madeline Hewitt received a special visit from Saint Nick himself. Local police officers contributed to the effort by helping Santa carry her presents.
The effort was organized by local non-profit Olsen Christmas Wish, which started a GoFundMe page to raise money to help buy presents for children in the area.
Madeline’s father expressed his thanks for the officers and community who helped bring a little cheer to their home.
“The generosity and the charity that we’ve seen from this community has been unbelievable,” he stated. “We’ve never been one to ask for anything, so this is pretty amazing for our family.”
Santa and the officers also visited other families in the area to deliver presents and spread Christmas cheer this holiday season.
