Drudy was also in the car and was charged with permitting an unauthorized operator to drive. The police department said they plan to do a thorough investigation of the case.
“Will we sacrifice a quick arrest for a thorough investigation? One in which involves our partners at the state attorney’s office so that we present an air-tight case,” Interim Cape Coral Police Chief Anthony Sizemore said. “A case that leads to a successful prosecution in criminal court. That is true justice for our victims.”
Sizemore commended his team at Cape Coral Police Department for working tirelessly to resolve the tragic case.
